Heading to the Coast

[This content is filed under: Blog.]

Well it’s getting time for PETER FRANZ PHOTOGRAPHY to do an other trip, to capture that great AUSTRALIAN COASTLINE thinking of heading down the south coast to capture the winter weather on the coast. those lovely storm clouds and tremendous waves .
And those lovely misty mornings, that’s if I can drag myself out of the sleeping bag,ye that’s right no luxury accommodation a good tent is as good as it gets like to be close to the action I think you need to feel the weather to create great photos. Well thats my opinion. Been a busy few weeks cataloging images creating a few new prints getting ready to market myself to the local wine industry with product and cellar door shots wont be long and I’ll have my portfolio together. hang in ther and keep shooting

Oh! Ye getting a basic camera course together, should be up and running in a couple of months maybe sooner.

I’ll keep you all informed of its progress.

Cheers for now Peter F Brunnbauer

Australian Landscape ‘The Gawler Ranges’

[This content is filed under: Blog.]

The collection is finally out. And its worth a trip to the  Peter Franz Gallery at Lyndoch in the beautiful Barossa Valley just to see them in print.

Well it’s taken awhile but finally got this collection of Australian Landscapes, focusing on the Gawler Ranges in  South Australia
Working at Peter Franz photography creating beautiful Australian Landscape images is a real pleasure. When you arrive back from a trip your keen raring to get stuck into sorting and preparing the new collection.
You don’t even want to unload the car it can wait till tomorrow. It’s a good thing my wife keeps me on my toes, “if you don’t to now you’ll never get around to it” and she’s right you now! So the simplest solution is to only take out the perishables and anything that needs a wash. And it works , doesn’t mean that i mange to get stuck into my images any sooner because and i don’t know why but there always seems to be something more urgent. from raring to go, to actually creating proof prints to getting them online only took me 7 week

the Landscape within the park is truly amazing the 6 days that we spent there were by no-means enough time, there are so many wonderful photographic opportunities  that i will be going back for quite a few visits at different times of the year. Would like to see water running over some of the falls most probably difficult to do as some off the tracks would not be unusable in wet weather. Even this trip the forecast of rain was a concern due to the road tires that I had on my vehicle.

Great time in the Galwer Ranges

[This content is filed under: Blog.]

Well as always it takes me awhile to get motivated to write but as you can see I’ve started

Still a fairly busy time at Peter Franz Photography
But did manage to sneak away for a few days

Had 6 days up in the Galwer  Ranges
the Gawler Ranges are situated approximately 100klms inland from Kimba which is on the Eyre Highway in South Australia.
A truly magnificent place to spend some time in the Bush the bush camping was excellent peaceful quite the type of environment that lets you catch up with yourself
again somewhere that you can completely forget what a mobile phone is and why we have it.
solitude.its great its refreshing need to be self reliant in this area on all aspects of bush camping ( if you haven’t got it you didn’t need it)

Anyway took some great photos and I’ll have them on the web in a couple of weeks so keep your eyes open and give me some feed back

Cheers from Peter at Peter Franz Photography

Enjoying the learning

[This content is filed under: Blog.]

Well I’ve had a bit of time to do a bit more learning in Photoshop its a on going process always something to get your teeth into, mind you I have to be careful what I get my teeth into they have a tendency to fall out or break.
Well about a week ago my main computer decided to have a rest and refused to boot up after spending the best part of the day trying everything I know with no success it went for a holiday. So while its having its rest at he rehab centre its getting windows 7 but on which will be a great improvement on Vista ( I Hope) I have a second machine thank goodness or I,d be going nuts, Don’t we become reliant on these machines! But not having Lightroom or Photoshop on this machine I can still access the web and do some training Couple of Days yipeeeeeeeeeeee back to normal. And between all this a little bit of painting on the building trying to get most of it done before winter.

Wedding Page

[This content is filed under: Blog.]

Well finally up and running with the wedding information it took quite a while to compile it all, thank you very much to my daughter Sarah without her help
it would have taken me a lot longer. I gave her a rough outline and she put it together. A job well done I most admit that I would sometimes be struggling at Peter-Franz Photography
without her input (not that Dad always listens ) But on the whole we work well together. all that’s left to do now is add the images and that I am working on at the present so
keep a eye on the wedding page. Also have placed an add in the Buynip ther dong a lift out wedding guide.
If you’d like more info don’t hesitate to drop in and see me at Peter Franz Gallery  / Photography and have a look at the standard of my photographic work love to see you .

Still flat out

[This content is filed under: Blog.]

Even thought its quite business wise hard to get time to rest these days always seem to find something to d
or it might be just me can’t sit still for to long. Have been doing a bit of maintenance at Peter Franz Photography
painting just finifhing of what I left behind when I built the place. Thats the trouble it all catches up with you sooner or later,
making great progress getting all my wedding information together should have the page up and running on the web by the end of next week.
And of course a lot of this is due to my young daughter Sarah, because without her help and keeping me on track I would be really behind at times
Got to get down to sorting out images in Lightroom to much rubbish still there. Have a bad habit of keeping to much so out it goes.

Getting on top (I think)

[This content is filed under: Blog.]

Hello! Well I actually got to writing a list of what I need to do and by all accounts it’s actually getting shorter, that’s only because I haven’t added anymore as yet.
I think one of the biggest headaches when setting up Peter Franz Photography has been how I want to operate and function then ether scrounging or creating all the forms
and systems you need to have in place to make sure that all runs smoothly and also to be able to track progress of Peter Franz Photography as it heads into a new year. read more »

Not enough hours in the day

[This content is filed under: Blog.]

Well it has been that long since I had some holidays but they seem to be a bit of a blur already the only thing that reminds me that I had holidays is
sitting in the studio at Peter Franz Photography sorting images taken on holiday. Sorting, editing and printing
then of course matting framing and get them into the gallery. Its full on and believe it or not I love every minute of it
it does get tiring but you get through it. Not much longer and I’ll have some new images on the web site .
