Great time in the Galwer Ranges

Well as always it takes me awhile to get motivated to write but as you can see I’ve started

Still a fairly busy time at Peter Franz Photography
But did manage to sneak away for a few days

Had 6 days up in the Galwer  Ranges
the Gawler Ranges are situated approximately 100klms inland from Kimba which is on the Eyre Highway in South Australia.
A truly magnificent place to spend some time in the Bush the bush camping was excellent peaceful quite the type of environment that lets you catch up with yourself
again somewhere that you can completely forget what a mobile phone is and why we have it.
solitude.its great its refreshing need to be self reliant in this area on all aspects of bush camping ( if you haven’t got it you didn’t need it)

Anyway took some great photos and I’ll have them on the web in a couple of weeks so keep your eyes open and give me some feed back

Cheers from Peter at Peter Franz Photography

Australian Landscape ‘The Gawler Ranges’

The collection is finally out. And its worth a trip to the  Peter Franz Gallery at Lyndoch in the beautiful Barossa Valley just to see them in print.

Well it’s taken awhile but finally got this collection of Australian Landscapes, focusing on the Gawler Ranges in  South Australia
Working at Peter Franz photography creating beautiful Australian Landscape images is a real pleasure. When you arrive back from a trip your keen raring to get stuck into sorting and preparing the new collection.
You don’t even want to unload the car it can wait till tomorrow. It’s a good thing my wife keeps me on my toes, “if you don’t to now you’ll never get around to it” and she’s right you now! So the simplest solution is to only take out the perishables and anything that needs a wash. And it works , doesn’t mean that i mange to get stuck into my images any sooner because and i don’t know why but there always seems to be something more urgent. from raring to go, to actually creating proof prints to getting them online only took me 7 week

the Landscape within the park is truly amazing the 6 days that we spent there were by no-means enough time, there are so many wonderful photographic opportunities  that i will be going back for quite a few visits at different times of the year. Would like to see water running over some of the falls most probably difficult to do as some off the tracks would not be unusable in wet weather. Even this trip the forecast of rain was a concern due to the road tires that I had on my vehicle.

Heading to the Coast

Well it’s getting time for PETER FRANZ PHOTOGRAPHY to do an other trip, to capture that great AUSTRALIAN COASTLINE thinking of heading down the south coast to capture the winter weather on the coast. those lovely storm clouds and tremendous waves .
And those lovely misty mornings, that’s if I can drag myself out of the sleeping bag,ye that’s right no luxury accommodation a good tent is as good as it gets like to be close to the action I think you need to feel the weather to create great photos. Well thats my opinion. Been a busy few weeks cataloging images creating a few new prints getting ready to market myself to the local wine industry with product and cellar door shots wont be long and I’ll have my portfolio together. hang in ther and keep shooting

Oh! Ye getting a basic camera course together, should be up and running in a couple of months maybe sooner.

I’ll keep you all informed of its progress.

Cheers for now Peter F Brunnbauer
